Having suffered from back pain for many years Corrinne benefited from massage through her late 30’s and 40’s.
Corrinne realised how much massage could help combat back pain, poor circulation and stress etc. Corrinne decided to learn how to carry out basic Swedish massage. Having completed the course in March 2000 and having enjoyed all the various aspects of it – in her own words she became hooked. Corrinne went on to successfully pass the Remedial and Sports massage in September 2000 and On-Site massage in March 2001.
Having treated herself to an Indian Head Massage Corrinne decided that this was yet another treatment that was well worth learning and so went on to pass this course in January 2002. During this time Corrinne became very interested in Reiki and found it helped her to come to terms with many of life’s ups and downs. Corrinne received attunments for Reiki 1 and 2 and when the time felt right for her, received her Reiki Master Practitioner attunments in December 2002.
As a teacher of highland dancing since her ‘teens Corrinne has always been in contact with children of varying ages. During her classes she became more aware of the stresses and strains that school children face in modern society. It was due to this that Corrinne became very interested in the Massage In Schools Program and decided that this was the way forward to help our up and coming generation. Corrinne successfully passed the Instructors course for this in October 2004 and looks forward to teaching this to all Primary school children in her area in the very near future.
Corrinne believes in treating the whole person and feels that in order to do that you must have a range of options in order to tailor the treatment for each individual. Corrinne is also an Independent Distributor of Nikken products. Corrinne feels that these products can help to create a greater sense of well being in every individual.
